The MC even ignored the romance interest of the story and just went wild, no plan or anything, and once he managed to do his world law-defying spell that he came up with, he just left, and the tower master himself just goes in guns’n blazing and screams out loud instead of trying to find any clues.
And this guy is supposed to be an intelligent person in this story?

I agree that the MC seems like an idiot with the way the story is presented. Which is ironic because he’s supposed to be a genius.
