like we regularly hear about people whose lives are upended by false accusation and do you think those people would/should put their literal life on the line getting people who could readily switch-up on them as soon as they hear the bad rumors? even if they wouldnt strike in 90% of cases they’d still see you as lesser than them and thus more worth sacrificing
