Based on some of the Bonus Stories from the LN, I would wager Yume is partly the reason why Nazuna is short and why she has a childish personality. Outside of Light, Yume is closest with Nazuna. Light has had the Fairy Maids start teaching Yume on various subjects and Ellie teaches her on Magic skills. Yume has told Light while she likes Ellie’s lessons, the Maids’ lessons are boring, and she would rather be playing with Nazuna. Nazuna is simply someone who can connect with Yume on Yume’s level.
I really don’t think tying her up was necessary. She already surrendered willingly and was even willing to swear loyalty though the blindfold I can understand
