he said some murim alliance guy killed MC’s uncle over a bowl of noodles but it was definitely the heavenly demon who did that, and so the heavenly demon probably framed the murim alliance in order to turn MC into a weapon against the murim alliance
he also told MC about those key officials to make them MC’s future assassination targets, to throw the murim alliance into jeopardy, and then in this chapter, he probably induced the 3rd disciple into qi deviation in order to crush any doubts MC might’ve had about the heavenly demon sect, and solidify his grudge against the murim alliance
plus, the heavenly demon was the one who told MC that the supposed assassin committed suicide after escaping MC’s manor, but if the 3rd disciple really was the one who attacked MC that night (which is pretty likely, since who else knows about pulling the tripwire thing that tells MC he was coming? even though he was suffering from qi deviation he probably still did it by instinct) then it would’ve been a load of bullshit, since the 3rd disciple is clearly still alive
the heavenly demon’s only alibi would be the 2 guards who went chasing the ‘assassin’ (i.e. if the guards actually saw the ‘assassin’ kill himself, GIVEN it wasnt just the 3rd disciple fainting due to the exhaustion of qi deviation or something) but then again he could’ve just shut them up since he’s literally the ruler of the entire heavenly demon cult
but anyway, let’s see how on point i am…or if im wrong, and it was an actual assassin
