The clown is DEFINITELY stronger than both the Dragon Slayer (Regal Vagos) and “the redhaired lady” (Amelia Rainwails). He was holding back because his job was only to guard the portal, not actually pursue and kill the kingdom’s explorers. He’s even in possession of a Double Numbered item [No. 17 Staff of the Underworld], but he merely CHOSE not to use it since it would’ve been unnecessary/overkill and would (temporarily) cause him to leave his post due to (spoilers)

The clown is strong but he doesnt seem as strong as the draconian or the redhaired lady MC keeps meeting

His strength is from the dead, for ease of understanding. They froze his shield and sword so he only has a dagger now
