“Somehow” he tamed it is just crappy forced plot armor. At the very least, make it like the Campfire Cooking in Another World where MC is such a good cook that he manages to gain Fenrir’s favor.
EDIT: Never mind. Chapter 2 explain why he wasn’t able to tame other monsters but was too easy to tame Fenrir. His taming skill has a unique description.
