   yeah, at around chap46 and really the author must’ve thought they were slick with the timeskip but just because their protag isnt a prepubescents child that swings between living out a childhood and planning for the end-times that suddenly assaults him all at once as a child DOESNT mean they wont fall into the trap of overly laborious stretched out arcs

   because of the timeskip we know that this is only the FIRST major event but we’re spending SO MUCH time on it with the progress crawling along. yes it’s technically a war but it feels like they are straight dumping ass for information and tools that’ll either A) never be brought up again like most manhua, B) will be a tool of the villains that’ll regularly be forgotten because of how much time it takes to be reintroduced/used

   we simply arent at a point in the story were the readers would care to stick with the MC through this bog and the wrong solution that many adopt is by making the story about children or turning the part were the MC is a child into a bog of its own. it doesnt help that said bog entirely denies payoffs and developments we want to see like “how does his situation with his ex pan out?” or “did his ex really betray him/what was the context of her message?”

   From the chapter 49 to 62 its the same thing…

   I don’t hate repetitive stories (I’m a Dragon Ball fan… it’s always the same thing XD) but reading 13 identical chapters… that’s not fun.

   Its sad… the start was good but now its juste the same chapter again and again.

   This showed up again after a long time, so ichecked if it progressed at all, and 10 chapters later it is still going in circles of the same orc plot and doing similar things and repeating the cycle, nothing is happening, 50chapters of the same thing

   I really wanted to like this story, but it just didn’t land for me. The main character goes back in time after going through a lot of trauma and pain, but instead of growing from it, he’s still cocky and hard to root for. He’s not written in a way that makes me care about what happens to him, if anything, I don’t like him. The pacing moves so fast that none of the side characters get real development, so they also end up feeling flat and forgettable.

   The premise is your standard regression setup: collecting items, making connections, trying to stop bad guys before they gain power. Nothing new there. What really pulled me out of the story, though, was how bad the MC’s explanations are whenever someone questions his knowledge. He says things no kid should reasonably know, gives weak excuses, and somehow everyone just rolls with it. It breaks immersion. Honestly, the only thing I can give credit to is the art—it looks great. But everything else just didn’t work for me.
